Shannon went back to her keyboard. "I've already started this search. I left it when things kept getting more confusing than I wanted." The screen popped up a list. "According to the information that was filed, Winslow Heights is a conglomerate of parties. Some are individuals while others are corporate. The conglomerate owns and operates several different companies under the Winslow Cove Heights name."

"So, a shell company then?" Kevin clarified.

"I guess you'd call it. The company is comprised of close to fifty different entities that share ownership. That doesn't include the number of aliases the company is using to do business as."

"And no mention of Arnet being among the list of owners, right?"

Shannon nodded. "Right. We can't ignore the possibility he's involved, but under a different name or using a corporate structure."

"Perfect," Kevin grumbled. "So we're back to square one then."

"I don't think so." Shannon dropped into the chair and her fingers flew over the keys. "We may not be able to figure out who the owners are for Winslow Cove Heights, but we can start to identify the directors since the board is public information."

"What will that do?"

"If we're lucky, we'll find a link to Arnet. If nothing else, we'll have a few strings to tug. I'm thinking if we get a few names, we find what they have in common between them and that'll give us the next step."

"Okay," Kevin conceded. "That makes sense. While you're doing that, I'm going to go back and start looking through the files again. There's a chance I overlooked something before. I wasn't looking for any correspondence between your uncle and Mr. Arnet."

Shannon scribbled some notes down and handed the paper to him. "Check for these names as well. These are the ones we're already sure have been connected to Winslow Heights. maybe the contact came from one of them."

While Kevin sorted through the folders, Shannon started looking up the various companies that had popped up earlier. For most of the companies, she found a single name listed, and noted them down on her pad.

"Find anything?" Kevin asked nearly an hour later.

"I've got ten different names and addresses. When I did a search, everything matches for these names. So, I'd guess either they are actual investors or whoever is behind this was a bit more cautious. I also found two more companies that seem to own major shares."

"You mean another company owns the company that owns Winslow Cove Heights?"

Shannon nodded. "Seems strange to me as well. But I have a very limited knowledge base about business. I'm a computer scientist."

Kevin held out his hand, "May I see?"

She handed the paper over. "Be my guest. As I said, they don't mean anything to me." Shannon kept an eye on Kevin as he began scanning the page. When his eyes bulged and his face drained of all color, she sprang from her chair.

"Kevin! What did you find? Do you recognize one of the names on the list?"

Kevin swallowed forcefully. "I hope I'm really wrong, but this one here," he said pointing to one of the companies.
